Iscar right now offers a family of high-performance slitting tools that couple the convenience and security of Tang-Grip clamping with the added strength of the revolutionary Sumo Tec insert grades.
The notion, already verified successful in Tang-Grip parting tools, has now been extended to slitting cutters. In the patented Tang-Grip clamping system, inserts are press-fit into their pockets with a specific hand tool, and are retained firmly in place without the need without requiring clamps, upper jaws or set screws that can weaken the insert and disrupt chip flow.
