Iscar Offers A Brand New Family Of Slitting Cutters Utilizing Tang-Grip Technology And The Strength Of Sumo Tec Grades

Iscar right now offers a family of high-performance slitting tools that couple the convenience and security of Tang-Grip clamping with the added strength of the revolutionary Sumo Tec insert grades.

The notion, already verified successful in Tang-Grip parting tools, has now been extended to slitting cutters. In the patented Tang-Grip clamping system, inserts are press-fit into their pockets with a specific hand tool, and are retained firmly in place without the need without requiring clamps, upper jaws or set screws that can weaken the insert and disrupt chip flow. The pocket composition uses cutting forces to keep the insert seated securely in position, removing any danger of insert pull-out. The Tang-Grip clamping system also fosters more accurate slitting cuts plus lengthened pocket and insert lifespan.

Iscar's Sumo Tec insert grades showcase a distinct post-coating treatment which substantially improves tool life and reliability.

Launched in late 2007, the brand new Sumo Tec treatment flattens the insert's coated surface to banish microscopic stress raisers, diminish heat and friction and boost chip flow. The result is improved toughness and resistance to chipping and built-up edge, all leading to longer tool lifespan. The golden-colored side on Sumo Tec inserts facilitates wear detection. Size for size, Tangslit cutters give more teeth than Iscar's SGSF cutters, providing higher feed rates.

Their superior rigidity leads to straighter, better accurate cuts and less vibration even in large-diameter cutters. The new Tangslit TGSF cutters come in 100 to 160 mm diameters, 3 and 4 mm widths and can accommodate the exact same variety of inserts as Tang-Grip parting tools. Some other sizes will be added.

Available Sumo Tec grades for Tangslit cutters include:
IC808, with a tough submicron substrate below a Sumo Tec TiAlN PVD coating, giving outstanding resistance to impact loads and built-up edge. This grade is suggested for slitting heat resistant alloys, austenitic stainless steel, hard alloys and carbon steel.

IC830, providing extra toughness for heavier parting & grooving including interrupted cuts. It is fitting for every stainless steel & high temperature alloys.

IC908, a hard, fine-grain substrate with outstanding chipping resistance, mixed with a new Sumo Tec TiAlN PVD coating. It is ideal for nodular or gray cast iron.

IC928 and 928A, PVD TiAlN-coated tough grades fitting for stainless steel, high temperature alloys and other alloy steels. These grades are likewise recommended for interrupted cuts and heavy operations.

Every Tangslit and Tang-Grip inserts are found in J- or C-type chipformer geometries from Iscar.

Iscar Adds Their Most Recent Innovations To A Extensive Line Of Flourishing Hole Making Solutions
Iscar recently released several different drilling innovations to meet their customers needs. These new products are Sumocham Drill, DR-DH and Deep Drills. Drawing off of their experience Iscar has come up with new and innovative ways to increase productivity for the end user.

Iscar Recently Releases Numerous Revolutionary Lines To Extend Their Family Of Milling Tools
Iscar recently released a new family of High Speed Milling adjustable endmills and facemills that will improve milling of aluminum, non-metallics, cast iron and hardened steel. This should prove especially useful in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Cutting Edge End Mills Coming From Iscar Will Enhance Productivity While Reducing Costs
Manufacturers and die & mold shops can banish chatter problems in numerous milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree end mills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the primary source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling.

Push Pull Testing For Construction Industry With Calibrated Measuring Instruments. Mechanical Load Testing Methods For On Site Proof To Testing Requirements.
Push Pull Testing for the Railway industry for proof of reliable anchor fixings. Calibrated push pull force gauges are used for stress load testing along with tensile strength pull testing procedures. Proof of load testing undertaken, measured, recorded in a reliable and standard way to BS5080 Part 1 standards.

Original Cutters And Carbide Insert Configurations From Iscar To Better The Machining Method
Iscar is introducing Penta 34 carbide inserts with a new PB chipformer. The PB chipformer features a single cavity with a positive rake, neutral shoulder angle, and a honed edge. It is actually a C-type chipformer with a different frontal edge.

The Newest In Carbide Endmill Architectures In A Extensive And Prospering Family From Iscar
Manufacturers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree endmills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the main source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling.
